A combination that won us over on the spot and which I highly recommend!

  • For the sauce:
  • 1 kg of capsicum
  • 270 gr tomato juice
  • 1 red onion, medium
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 3-4 fresh basil leaves
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons sunflower oil
  • 25 gr butter
  • 150 gr of bellows cheese
  • 1/2 bunch of green parsley
  • For Bavarian dumplings:
  • 1 loaf of bread, older
  • 1 red onion, smaller
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 donut
  • 1 tablespoon sunflower oil
  • 50 gr butter with 82% fat
  • 110 ml milk
  • about 100 grams of breadcrumbs
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 bunch of parsley
  • 2 eggs, medium

RECIPE PREPARATION Baked pepper stew with Bavarian dumplings, at Multicooker Crock Pot Express with pressure cooking:

Bake the peppers, clean them and let them drain. While the peppers are draining, we take care of the Bavarian dumplings. We cut the bread stick into small cubes and put it in a bowl. start Crock Pot Express Express multicooker with pressure cooking on the Brown / Saute program for 10 minutes. The lid is not required for the function and is used for browning / hardening. The message HEAT will appear, which means that the appliance is heating up. After 2 minutes, we put the oil in the multicooker bowl, and when it heats up, the set time will appear on the display. Add the butter. When the butter is melted, add the cleaned and chopped onion and the two cloves of garlic, cleaned and chopped. Mix with the spatula provided so that the onion does not burn, and when it penetrates easily, sprinkle it with a little juice from the baked peppers. Add the cleaned and chopped donut in small cubes and mix again with a spatula to prepare evenly. Sprinkle the ingredients with a little pepper juice. After the time expires, an audible signal will sound and we will press the STOP / START button. Place the ingredients in the bowl over the bread cubes. Add the milk and knead the composition with your hands to crumble the bread. Add the spices, chopped parsley and eggs, one at a time. At the end, we match the texture of the composition with breadcrumbs and shape the dumplings the size of a ping pong ball, or something smaller. We start the multicooker again on the BROWN / SAUTE function, also for 10 minutes. Proceed as before to fry the onion with the garlic in a little oil and butter. When they are hardened, add the tomato juice, chopped capsicum peppers, Bavarian dumplings and pepper juice, so that the dumplings are lightly covered. Add broken basil leaves, oregano, a little salt and a little pepper. Place the vessel lid with the valve knob in the closed position. We set the MEAT / STEW function for 30 minutes and High pressure. The HEAT message will reappear on the display until the liquid inside reaches the required temperature. Then the set time appears which will be displayed in descending order until it expires. From this moment we can see ourselves calm from other occupations, because the multicooker will do its job alone. After the time expires, the multicooker stops automatically and an audible signal sounds. With a spatula, or kitchen tongs, switch the valve knob to the open position. Wait for the pressure to release, then switch the multicooker lid to the open position. We lift it carefully so that our vapors do not burn. It is recommended to wear gloves! Add the bellows cheese to the stew and the chopped green parsley, sprinkling them on top. We wait for the cheese to melt slightly and we can serve ourselves with the delicious stew of baked peppers with Bavarian dumplings. It has a slightly sweet and sour taste, and the Bavarian dumplings are well hydrated and take the place of bread.
